Praise on My Lips

Posted in Christianity by me on the April 13th, 2007

This is peom I wrote this evening when I was trying to find the elading of the Lord.  I hope this will inspire someone or at the very least give praise to the Lord.

Praises on my lips, Humbly I come to thee
Hear this small voice
I pray that your ear perceives my hearts intent
My praise for you my Lord

Hear me now my blessed Saviour
Take this offering from my lowly lips
Let my heart a mouth always sing your truth

Take these hands, made of earth and clay
Keep them clean of sin
Let them find rest, clasped in prayer to You
Let my prays be only glory to You

I fear my daily failing, I fall more then I can stand
Let my weakness keep my eyes on You
Teach me to a leader, as Your magnificent Son
Show me how to lead through your Word.

The new sign removes the reference to the school’s Christian roots by removing the word Christian.

Why are we removing everything that made this country great? This university was founded and has successfully educated generations of people. So why remove the Christian affiliation?
